< SHRI RAPAX
We are excited to unveil the worlds first complete skeletal reconstruction of Shri rapax.
We are excited to unveil the first complete skeletal reconstruction of Shri rapax. This extraordinary theropod from the Late Cretaceous period was discovered in Mongolia’s Djadokhta Formation.
When the dinosaur was first described, we immediately set to work reconstructing this enigmatic predator, as sadly, the history of the specimen is complicated. It was illegally exported and passed through private collections.
Most recently, the skull and the first four cervical vertebrae (C1–C4) have been lost. Cases like this highlight the importance of protecting fossils from illegal trade and careless loss, ensuring that these irreplaceable pieces of natural history remain available for study by both scientists and the public.
Our reconstruction captures the key anatomical features that make Shri rapax so remarkable: heavily pneumatized vertebrae that lightened the skeleton, massive and formidable manual claws, and unusually reinforced finger digits. This distinction demonstrates niche partitioning. -

We are excited to unveil the first complete skeletal reconstruction of Berthasaura leopoldinae.
This remarkable theropod from the Early Cretaceous period was discovered in the Goio-Erê Formation of Paraná, Brazil. The holotype, MN 7821-V, is a nearly complete disarticulated skeleton, making it one of the most complete dinosaurs known from Cretaceous Brazil. When this dinosaur was first described, we immediately set to work reconstructing this quirky theropod. Our reconstruction captures the key anatomical features that make Berthasaura leopoldinae so remarkable.
Such as a toothless, beak-like mouth, suggesting herbivorous or omnivorous dietary preferences. A small size, with an estimated body length of approximately 1 meter. Tiny arms and long gracile legs.
